Highroad Communications

We chose High Road to do our PR for the Return to Flight Space Shuttle Mission. We got so much more publicity than we bargained for, we've had to literally accelerate our whole business plan. It was a great decision.

Apart from the astronauts themselves, nobody was more excited about the NASA space shuttle Discovery Return to Flight mission launch than Neptec – a provider of intelligent 3D vision systems. The reason? Aboard the Discovery was the company's Laser Camera System (LCS) technology that would monitor critical areas of the shuttle's exterior and play a major role in ensuring flight safety.

Neptec saw this launch as a prime opportunity to secure North American media coverage and boost its profile as one of Canada's leading aerospace technology companies, as well as a valued partner of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and NASA itself.

The resulting coverage was out of this world.

A strategic North American press conference – featuring CSA and Neptec – positioned the Canadian firm as a vital partner in the mission while briefing the public on the technical details of the Discovery's Return to Flight mission. Connecting with U.S. and Canadian press not only raised awareness of Neptec's participation on the flight, it enabled the company to attract the attention of key customers and potential business prospects.

On launch day, Neptec was onsite at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida with an accompanying remote viewing event for media hosted by the CSA in Montreal. Working closely with Neptec's team, High Road fielded media inquiries from around the globe, placing the company in the perfect position to discuss its future technologies and growth with North American and international business, daily, and trade press, including the New York Times, Forbes.com, CBC, La Presse, AllHeadlineNews and the Discovery Channel.

High Road's strategic planning for the Discovery's Return to Flight mission took Neptec to new heights – placing it at the forefront of Canada's work with NASA.
