HIGH ROAD HELPS SCENE LAUNCH NEW FEATURED ARTIST LOUNGE FACEBOOK APP

BY Kara Carnduff ON May 17, 2012 | No Comments

SCENE has a space on its website called Featured Artist Lounge, where SCENE members receive exclusive content and contests from Universal artists. But it can be hard to entice fans to visit and engage with a company website, so many brands have started to bring these exclusive offers to the community their audience is already visiting: Facebook.

SCENE already has an amazing following on its Facebook page and super-engaged fans, so creating a Featured Artist Lounge Facebook application was a natural transition.

When SCENE asked High Road to help create the app in French and English, our team was really excited. And when we found out the first artist they wanted to feature was pop artist Carly Ray Jepson? Even better! High Road and SCENE got to work, and launched the app early May, 2012.

Featured Artist Lounge has everything SCENE members could ever want from a Universal artist – exclusive previews to new songs, music videos, bios, and even a chance to see a movie with Carly Rae Jepsen and 10 friends.

Awesome, right?

The Facebook community thought so, too. In the first week, Featured Artist Lounge has had more than 11,000 unique page views and over 2,700 contest entries.

High Road designed and built the app for SCENE followers. With some stellar work from our creative and development team, SCENE and High Road put together an eye-catching app to host all of Carly Rae’s content (including, of course, the ever-popular Justin Bieber cover video).

And the great thing is, when SCENE is ready to feature a new artist, the app is flexible enough to host whatever content the next Universal sensation has to offer.

So go check out the app, rock out to a little “Call Me Maybe,” and enjoy!

Surf’s Up, Toronto!

BY Maggie Dunlop ON Jun 03, 2011 | No Comments

Step aside Kate Bosworth- Sasha Jackson, the newest surf maven, was in Toronto along with her leading man Ben Milliken to share their rad surf skills and celebrate the release of their new movie Blue Crush 2.

The surfing duo flew in from the beach in L.A. to participate in a full day of interviews with outlets such as Oh So Cosmo! and Much Music, followed by a beach party premiere in Toronto’s entertainment district, and High Road was there.

In ultimate South African surfer style, the beach party was set on a man-made beach in the downtown core, complete with a bonfire, Nando’s barbeque and African dancers. Fans and media scoped out a spot in the sand and joined the cast to enjoy live music from the film and a screening under the stars. There to catch the action, our friends at CP24 were on location to interview the cast.

In all, the event was a swimming success and an experience the talent and fans won’t soon forget!
