Gearing up for the snowy season in style, Canada Goose showcased its 2010/2011 collection of jackets, hats and accessories at an exclusive event for Toronto fashion bloggers. The venue played the perfect host, as the rustic, log cabin interior at Cabin 5 provided the ideal backdrop for Canada Goose outerwear.

Photographers and bloggers were paired up with the minds behind the designs, allowing those in attendance to peruse and model their favourite Canada Goose jackets and vests. Media loved interacting with the latest designs, as well as getting the chance to learn more about the iconic Canadian brand that is on holiday wish lists worldwide.

Everyone left with a personalized Canada Goose snow globe, a copy of the Goose People coffee table book and a USB key full of the latest Canada Goose product images and info. The cozy buzz between familiar bloggers at Cabin 5 breathed an air of intimacy into the event and the feedback has been nothing short of sensational…

“Canada Goose, you really pulled out all the stops for this one – from custom snow globes to the racks and racks of goods to try on.” –Urbane Bloc

“The event was set up really well, very informative, and the venue gave it a cozy winter feeling. I think it’s safe to say that most if not all of us love and want Canada Goose jackets as it is, but wait ’til you see the new stuff.” –1LoveTO

“I really like way the agencies are starting to get creative with event activities and takeaways. Last night we each got our photo taken in Goose gear, were given it on a branded USB key, then the image was made into a snow globe.” –Casie Stewart

An Epic Event

BY Laura Bryce ON Oct 18, 2010 | No Comments

Coming out of E3, it is no doubt that Disney Epic Mickey is one of the most highly anticipated games to launch before the end of 2010. For the first time in gaming history, one of the world’s most iconic characters, the mouse himself, will be a playable character. Coupling Mickey Mouse with the game being designed by industry luminary Warren Spector, it was not a surprise that some Canada’s top journalists were dying to step in to Wasteland to give Disney Epic Mickey a test drive.

On Tuesday October 12th, Disney Interactive Studios Canada hosted a successful three-part preview day for Disney Epic Mickey in Toronto, featuring special guest Warren Spector. The day kicked off with Warren appearing on Canada’s largest morning show, Canada AM. Warren then met one-on-one with all top-tier Canadian print and broadcast media throughout the day, followed by a cocktail-style preview event located in a trendy gallery in downtown Toronto. Media, retail partners and influencers joined DIS for an evening of demos and hands-on game play, while being entertained by the painting talents of Disney artist Joe Yakovetic and to tunes spun by a hip Toronto DJ. The event was a huge hit, creating positive buzz and anticipation in advance of the launch of Disney Epic Mickey in Canada on November 30th.

Smirnoff Event Hits New Heights

BY Ian Buck ON Oct 14, 2010 | No Comments

This summer we launched a very cool new Smirnoff campaign in Canada: the Nightlife Exchange Project takes 14 countries around the world & swaps nightlife among them on Nov 27, 2010 (www.facebook.com/smirnoffcanada for details). Our kick-off event featured a performance from USS  plus the stunt to end all stunts… a dance floor suspended 50 ft in the air! We worked with an amazing stunt team and crane company so it looked like the dancers were not attached to anything (they were, of course). At the end of the day… great band + cool stunt = excellent coverage + online buzz + happy client, a formula we’re happy to stick to. :)
