We have immediate opportunity in our Toronto office location for a Vice President/Senior Vice President.

Position: Vice President/Senior Vice President

Responsibilities:
• Coach, mentor and manager teams with ability to scale for growth
• Ownership of team reviews and individual team development
• Drive new business; responsible for strategy, new business deliverables, proposals and budgeting
• Lead media training and strategic messaging sessions
• Integration with specialty practices and High Road senior management across network
• Effective communications with remote teams
• Overall strategy for all client deliverables including annual plans, proposals, crisis communications, messaging, and all communication materials

Qualifications:
• 10 years’ experience in a senior public relations and marketing role, preferably in an agency and/or technology sector with consumer experience
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently as some team members are located in head and regional offices
• Proven track record as a strategic thinker and planner working with senior-level executives and clients
• Proven experience developing new business — ability to lead new business pitches and secure new accounts
• Superior interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong manager that is focused on career development and mentorship
• Strong relationship building and management skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent professional writing and presentation skills
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
• Post secondary education in public relations or marketing, or equivalent

CANADIAN TIRE SELECTS HIGH ROAD COMMUNICATIONS AS PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCY OF RECORD

Toronto, ON – (February 23, 2010) –High Road Communications today announced it has been named PR Agency of Record by one of Canada’s most recognized and cherished brands, Canadian Tire Corporation.
