Canada Goose has elevated its stature to become one of Canada’s most beloved brands in recent years so it’s only appropriate that its president and CEO, Dani Reiss, found himself elevated high above the streets of Toronto for his recent speaking engagement at the Economic Club of Canada.

Stop 33, a spectacular ballroom on the 33rd floor of the Sutton Place Hotel Toronto, was the venue for an October 21st presentation about Made in Canada and the large role that Canada Goose has played in reintroducing domestic manufacturing to Canadian industry. In this one hour engagement secured and curated by High Road, Dani spoke about the explosive growth that Canada Goose has enjoyed in recent years, becoming not only the extreme weather outerwear of choice for Canadians but for many other cold weather regions across the globe.

Quality, style and authenticity were major themes as Dani talked shop and answered questions for a crowd clearly enjoying Canada Goose’s tale of homegrown prosperity. In fact, the Q&A session that concluded the presentation alone ran over 20 minutes–a testament to the level of pride and affinity that attendees had for the brand.

With winter on the horizon and Canada Goose expecting top-line growth of 60% for 2011 (as reported by the Sun News Network’s coverage of the presentation), this Economic Club of Canada luncheon served as an unofficial sneak peek for Canada Goose’s plans for 2012 and beyond, all served up in a high flying fashion by this amazing Canadian success story.

Breakfast (Television) Served Fresh at Obikà

On Wednesday, July 27th Obikà Mozzarella Bar welcomed Jenn Valentyne and the BT crew to find out what all the mozza was about! Customers were invited to come down for a complimentary breakfast pastry and specialty coffee and soon enough the line of hungry Torontonians took over Brookfield Place.

Lorenzo Sibio led host Jenn Valentyne on a behind the scenes tour of their signature mozzarella bar for a lesson in cheese. In the kitchen, Jenn found out the secret behind dishes like Schiaffoni di Gragnano – fresh ingredients! Jenn also got a little lesson in Italian – can you say Stracciatella di Burrata?

Back in the studio, Obikà dropped off trays of delicious treats for hosts Kevin, Dina, Frankie and the whole BT Toronto crew.

It was a very cheesy morning!

Obika Mozzarella Bar has delicious launch in Toronto

The other week High Road Communications got themselves into a rather cheesy situation. But not just any cheese.  Mozzarella di Bufala DOP to be exact. On Wednesday May 11, HRC partnered with Obikà Mozzarella Bar to help launch its first location in Canada.

Neapolitan dialect for “Ecco Qua” (meaning ‘Here it is!’), Obikà served up a VIP Opening Party fit for Italian royalty. With Prosecco, wine and Peroni flowing, guests dined on Obikà’s finest fares and danced the night away to some stellar tunes provided by, the one and only, DJ Chuck Barrett and Lexx Decibel.

Bright and early the next day (with the Obikà espresso machine in full effect), the HRC and Obikà team were bright eyed and bushy tailed for a day full of media interviews.

Without a doubt, both the Obikà VIP Opening Party and media day proved to be nothing but a recipe for success.  With coverage in every daily and the #ObikàTO burning up a storm on Twitter, Obikà was able to make its way into every Canadian household to say “Here it is!”…. Obikà
