All about the Kids: Boston Pizza kicks off its new family-friendly program

BY Isabella Mise ON Nov 08, 2012 | No Comments

This past weekend Boston Pizza enlisted the help of the largest parent testing community, Parent Tested Parent Approved (PTPA), to launch its new Kids Program complete with new menu items and fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Ten bloggers and their families gathered at Toronto’s Yonge and Sheppard location to try out the latest food creations, engage with the new activity packs and even got to meet a special guest—Lionel the Mascot!

Guests eagerly awaiting their meals

Among the tasty dishes were the BP Mini Cheeseburgers,  Pizza Pinwheels and the S’mores Sundae—just to name a few.  As part of the new program, the kids each received an activity pack in a small pizza box filled with memory cards, checker board and pieces, crayons and an activity sheet to keep them entertained.

Parents especially enjoyed that their kids were keeping busy as they sampled from the main menu with 26 new additions to choose from.

While the food and activity packs were a huge hit, the real show stopper was a surprise meal time visit from Lionel. The kids were delighted to say hello and there was no shortage of flashes from proud parents as their kids gladly posed with him for some pictures.

The attendees were also busy tweeting up a storm and chatting about their favourite moments of the lunch time event.

Here are just a few of the great things they had to say:

Overall, the event was a huge success and a great way to launch the new Kids Program and celebrate family time at Boston Pizza.

BY High Road Communications ON Oct 09, 2012 | No Comments

How do you convince bloggers, registered dietitians and media to participate in a sweat-filled, pain-inducing evening of fitness?

Simple: Offer them Chobani.

On October 2nd, Chobani and High Road hosted 15 guests at Toronto’s hottest new fitness studio, Barreworks for a butt-kicking workout.

Bloggers got their sweat on with Tiffany Vandemark, personal trainer and fitness pro, who is also Chobani’s and Director of Experiential Marketing, as she took them through a high intensity Cho-barre boot camp.

After class, guests were all smiles (and sweat!) as they refueled with the perfect post-work out high protein snack: From the ultimate parfait bar, to fruity smoothies, to delicious Cho d’oeuvres, everyone left with a little extra pep in their step and a full stomach of #nothingbutgood.

This post was brought to you by High Road’s Becky Brescacin and Maria De Romana.

Xbox Live 2

The future of television is now.

Xbox LIVE recently unveiled the next generation of TV entertainment with its redesigned dashboard and new custom apps from world-leading TV and entertainment content providers. High Road helped kick-off the launch with a breakfast media event at Xbox 360 Central in Toronto.

Despite the wet weather, the space was buzzing with anticipation. Glenn Purkis, Xbox LIVE Product Manager, unveiled the new dash and left the crowd awe-struck after demonstrating the new voice-powered navigation features. That’s right: users can now navigate by simply speaking to their Xbox. With the power of Kinect, you say it, Xbox finds it.

Check it out:

Following the presentation, media chatted one-on-one with Purkis and representatives from content partners including Rogers On Demand, Disney XD, Real Sports, UFC, Crackle, YouTube, Vevo, Zune, and MSN.ca.

The highly-anticipated event drew more than 30 media from tech, gaming, sports and lifestyle outlets.
